IN ART THERE IS THE WISDOM

El Store is a versatile recurring pop-up project set up by el Patrol. The first edition started in the beautiful old city of Biel-Bienne with a small and snug wine store and art gallery. Two good things came together and inspired one another. Influenced by the movie Mondovino el Patrol sold best quality wine from small and rather unknown manufacturers. The focus lied on the croatian and portuguese wine regions, which are still very authentic and in great part not yet affected by the globalized wine industry, where oenologists and critics augment quality until all wine taste the same. Both Portugal and Croatia have a long wine tradition. In their strong wine you still taste the terrain and the sun of the specific vineyard. By rising consciousness el Patrol hopes to contribute to the struggle for the soul of the wine – and for the soul of those who live for, trough and with the wine.
